Last year about the same period got a brand new never gassed 661CM v3.0 assembled with a jug and mm from the Jack Daniels territory

Usual suspect was a southern gentleman mostly trying to decide between turtles and pies.

saw was running AMSOIL SABER 1:40 as it's the best oil i can get here apart from manufacturers stuff.
MaxFlow filter used green for the most part.
Initially used for logging firs with 3/8 1.6 various lengths and from last September i was running 8t .404 at 20" and 28".

Let's have a look how it all started

I've rebuilt two 661's, one run over by a pickup truck and the other run over by a skidder. Each required $550 in parts alone. Hardest part of the repair was removing that outer handle. That used to be a piece of cake on the 660. Amazing thing was that both ran fine when I was done.

Good oil for sure. It’s on my list of favorites.
Hi buddy

not really sure if it's the oil or the engine efficiency and I would not like to go in depth at oil threads as i m unlucky enough to live in a country with minimum choices.

What I consider worth mentioning and propably should turn into a scientific research is : HOW a southern chickenlegged oxygen consumer scratching blended metals can create an efficient motor engine like this when at the same time he cannot decide if he likes more pies or turtles!!! AMAZING lol!

Randy is a legend he wouldn't need me thousands miles away to speak about that. But it's the first time i see such results in any engine.

It could just be the light on the saw.
And let's not to forget about my weird eyesight.

The piston looks to be oily, just as we would want it to be.
But for some reason, that big end of the connecting rod and crank shaft looks dry, in that photo.
Again, let me say.... that sometimes the digital photography and the internet plays tricks on my eyesight.
but It just caught my attention as I scrolled through the pics.
but it is late here and I'm tired , so could just be my eyes and brain messing with me.
