*f-word that I'm glad I live in England on rare occasions like these, biggest thing we have to worry about when dragging scrub is not stepping in dog *s-word!our firewood season is over out here in Australia, and its good to put the saw down.
we got some serious snakes out here too
A couple of years ago i got bit on the left index finger while clearing scrub, never saw the snake, just felt an impact and sharp sting as I lifted an armful of coffee bush.
hand swelled like a balloon, and turned funny colours, but no lasting ill effects.
Local Doc reckoned that the snake (probably a small tiger)conserved its venom and just gave me a warning nip, guess i was lucky.
i deal with it every year if it isn't 93 and muggy it isn't comfortable to me.I cannot wait for cooler weather, and it finally arrived today. El Nino is the pits. This has been the muggiest, steamiest summer I have seen in at least 40 years. Even the plants were drowning in jungle conditions. Bon Voyage!
Swap?here is my weather finally cooling down.

I think this yank will keep this warmer weather and keep his mouth shut. it could be worse i could be in the uk stepping in dog chit getting rained on and blowed away by the wind.
