I have a Sthil 024 i am building & i need to pull out both of the crankcase bearings which tool will i need I have the Set of crankcase tools that Matthew Olsen invented & they are AWESOME TOOLS FELLAS
There are tools for this job, but most peeps would knock them out with drift and replace them. That’s cheap insurance
But if you knock them out, just make sure the case is supported as close the the bearings as possible. As you would get mad if you cracked the case.
I use an electric heat gun and ir thermometer to take them out and put them in. Most of my Stihl shop manuals call for heat to remove and install. Punching them or pressing cold can break a case so need to be careful.
