Need help identifying this Dolmar, west germ. I’ve had people say it’s a ca but my uncle a huge avid Dolmar man does not believe it is there’s a side vent he states is different, along with other small details please let me know if I can answer any questions.

It’s a CA. Just like this one, except mine has AV’s. View attachment 485698
Yours looks like it could have the rear AV’s, just not the top handle.
The olden days when they had round curves instead of boxy corners. 🥰

Working on a 123 and I have a question about the oil reservoir vent .
Shows on the parts diagram just a small piece of twisted wire that goes in the hole in the reservoir...I can't see how this would be leak proof when the saw is tipped on the recoil side .
Any other options with this ?
Thanks
Ernie

Tilt the saw towards the clutch 😉👍 although there are also saws that have it on the clutch side, we only cut down fallen trees 😁

Many saw manufacturers used the pin hole with a cotter pin vent on oil tanks over the years. McCulloch and Jonsereds immediately come to mind.

The Jonsereds were as late as the 80's on the 910/920/930 models among others.

With the ignition there is a small bit of adjustment between the slots ...what would be the best place to set this ?
Thanks

I do see a small line on the side of the ignition but I don't see where it would be lined up with anything
