Why stripped down?! o_O

Makita teal PH parts for that saw family can still be had, any non-color coded parts cross over from the Dolmar sibling.

Is it more affordable to strip a whole saw for parts than getting individual parts?

How much for the complete PH including box?
I'll save her and grant her a shelf queen status!
I don't yet have a single teal saw.

there is a method in my madness wilhelm

It’s not the 1st one on the operating table it does get easier after
You’ve done one or two

is it for sale been looking for years

I bet that saw belongs to Marco Shuling, Not sure if i spelled his last name correctly.
He is a big Dolmar collector in Germany. He is on the Chainsaw Collectors Forum.
He is the only one i know of that has a CT geardrive. Very rare saw. And yes i would
love to have one too.

Don't make me come over there Wilhelm. It's mine.

I was thinking of you on this one ,a stepping stone across the pond
It would go well with a 84” bar and that CT helper handle you got there

I would love to find a CT geardrive. And at least a 6 foot bar and the helper handle from you.

Marco's saw is the only one i have seen. On another note, The Remington Super 880 Geardrive
was a saw i was looking for. I had been searching for years then one found me and then another
showed up on Facebook. So ya never know.

You got files? We can make a couple.
I have bunch of round files in all kind of diameters.
I have one square file but I don't recall whether it's a triangular or the other one - Sondre sent it to me with a square filed EXL loop.

I changed my "kimono" out for some...

IMG_4274 2.jpeg

"lederhosen"...

IMG_4298.jpeg

I managed to use the backing from the new "lederhosen" to preserve the old Makita decal. I have a new PS-7910 decal, however, the EA 7900 decal left a sticky residue which led me to need to use acetone to clean the mating surface. The saw is in the garage where it's about 35*F and I wanted to give the acetone the night to evaporate before I place the Dolmar badge on the the starter side.
I'm not sure why, but I've always had a soft spot for the PS-7900 and thought they were the coolest saws. I always loved playing in the woods, but I never really had the need to own an 80cc saw until recently (I really don't, but its fun to run). Things changed; Dolmar became Makita and I needed a good bucking saw, so I pulled the trigger on the Makita 7900. Thanks to this site, in very short order, I was able to get the decals I was looking for - thanks Wilhelm!

Now I'm looking at 50cc saws and might find myself rebadging an EA5000.

The 4 stroke 500V and the one with the clear covers are awesome saws.I always had a soft spot for Dolmar saws, just never worked out to get one.EA 7900P teal color Makita saws are still available in Greece.I really have no use for such a big saw but they are really cheap (690€) and i might end up with one in the next few months.I see my self cutting up 10" limps with 80cc saw, hahaha.

We will make due. I'll bring a vallorbe
Wilhelm, you have a double bevel file. That all I’ve ever used. Wouldn’t hurt to bring another couple of them, though.

Oh, can I come too??
