I would definitely be interested in getting one. I just want to nail down the unknown first. Anybody know all the government hands and what they're taking when bringing one into the country?

A 42” really? With their suspect AV system and Stihl stingy oiling system this is getting pretty far up the bean stalk

I would suspect that heat soak will be issue with that much of a load as well. The 500i I handled had a pretty flimsy crankcase.

Timber faller I follow has a run a 42” in redwood. He runs 36” on a 572. Suspension systems, oiler mods, soft wood, and careful operation.

It’s probably just what he had. Huge tree.

In the case of the 572, I think he runs 36” all the time.

Keep in mind, on this type of work, you’re standing on the side of a mountain in brush cutting overhead or balancing on a pole…after fighting your way thru the brush to the tree.

Based on the 288 Crocky ported for me, no surprise his i is pulling 42”

I’m super tempted but I just got two 562s. Already have a 2156 and an XS 346 which is basically a light 60cc
