I finally ran into a raker I can't file. It's hard as hell I don't have a grinder How you fellas get them set. Carlton chain If I keep swiping at it gonna *f-word my file up.
I'll get it one way or another but I know I've heard of this before

Flat diamond file for precision? o_O

A regular small angle grinder does the trick, no precision though.

Got a dremel or something to grind the raker? They usually aren't hardened much depth wise.

I use a bar dressing file on the rakers ,it is about an inch or so wide ,works better than the thin raker files ,the 6 sided files for square cutters i have do not seem to do rakers either when i try them .

I was afraid to use one of my good files as I didn't wanna damage it. Worst thing is it was laying right on the other side of the bench. I will try that first

Good call Brian. I pulled a big file out today. While the raker is obviously way harder than it should be on this loop, they couldn't take the side edge of a "real" file seems like this loop may be hardened throughout the whole raker but I now know exactly how to approach this in the future. Funny I didn't even think to try it. Literally had to walk twenty paces to pick up tat file.
