What is everyone using for a flat head screwdriver for carb tuning? Is it worth it to buy a Stihl screwdriver? I am open to suggestions.
I have a screwdriver that I use that I filed to make the end thinner so it eould fit in the adjustment hole.
Thanks in advance.
i found a 20 pack of the stihl adjustment screwdrivers on ebay so i have plenty i cut a v shape in the blade of one to set circlips and a v shape on side of another to do seals with
You are turning a slotted screw a 1/16 of a turn that is under little tension. You don't need Snap on or Mac for that job. But if you want one I guarantee those guys will sell you one. I have a bunch of the Stihl carb screwdrivers. They work great and they go through the washing machine just like any other would.
All of my screw drivers like the electrically insulated orange one below come free from my local electricity distribution board (AKA my employer) they just don't know it yet
Selling tools?! Is that possible? I've never considered it, I guess... I'm definitely in the acquiring stage of my life. Savings account you can use.
Regarding the screwdrivers, the one that came with my Dolmar is really nice, it's got a little fin that sticks out of the handle, so it's very easy to track small adjustments. Now if I could only remember where it is...
