Graeme Bell's book is really informative, fair bit of stuff that relates to all 2T's but he is a big fan of tuning a pipe to get the characteristics he wants from a 2T which is not an option for the work saw builder.

Lots of intake tract stuff in his book. Transfer durations are discussed too. I wonder if any of it really relates to any engine without a pipe though.

I believe that one is from Macdizzy, who really has some dialed in two strokes in bikes. I met him on a Banshee/Blaster forum years ago.
