The 064 Stihl

Ok boys I bought this saw a couple months ago of CL never even started it till tonight. It was supposed to be a rebuilt, good running all oem saw. So that said!!

What's the 2 problems you see in this pic?

Yikes! Looks like it may have been straight gassed.
Case looks s little low on compression.

Scored piston and someone stole your muffler and gasket.

Looks like a lot of oil and carbon. I am on my phone, but is a cylinder bolt missing?

It appears to have a major air leak or was straight gassed. Judging by how thick the cylinder base is I'm also guessing that that's not the original cylinder. I'm thinking it's either AM or a 066 cylinder.

Looks like threads are gone in one muffler bolt hole.

Both ya got it goin. Every bolt was lose on this saw. Air leak was all four cylinder bolts were loose as heck. That said I believe the non decomp 066 stihl mahle cylinder will cleanup.

It appears to have ingested bar oil to finish itself off. Oil is still puking out of the case seam in the pic.

I rebuild them every day damn neer that are worse than that.

Looks like a good cleaning and some seals will fix her up
