Not really enough to worry about then?

RPM in the cut is very similar, which one "feels" the best?
I remember you showin me a few vids of different coils, I still remember which one looked and sounded the best

With every control unit should be made a few cuts and after that the fuel settings (switching cycle of solenoid valve) should be checked with the diagnostic tool. That would be intresting to know.

I agree Iam running the 4701A coil I am happy with the way it's going Iam not worried about 200 RPM it doesn't behave as bad as it did before

yeah this test was quite the process. Hook up new coil, cut for a while..wanted to make 100% sure the mtronic had the new values etc before I did my test cuts. Took about 3 hrs.

wish I had an mdg1 laying around to plug into. It would be interesting to see if the fuel values change based on, muffer mod, bar length, ported or vs stock and the diff coils.

Fuel values given to me via stihl were

4700c 4700 d: Factory spec 70, low/bad 65
4700E 4701A : factory spec 72 low/bad 69

I'd say "D" felt the best. Nice call by @mdavlee . But on the other hand you have times and temps which are basically identical and you have stihl telling you that 4700c & 4700d have been known to let the saw go too lean and seize. Me personally: I'll be getting the C &D changed over to 4701As...not worth the risk.

And I would have to speculate that the 4701A would be better on the long bar if it's richer. I mean if your really serious about short bar racing I'd say put a wj69 on it. IMO Just not worth the risk.
Awesome thread @Redbull661 really captivating I have learnt alot about the 661 thanks to you .putting in the time and effort to do this has paid dividends and I thanks you:campeon:

What kind of tach are you using to get the readings ? Is it hardwired in ?
