That is a crazy long reach , you would think they would better design the cyl head so it doesn't have to be .

I ported the gap out to 0.55mm once.
Anyone ever gone bigger?

I have used a combination of both and never noticed any difference but I tend to like the NGK cause the box is brighter colour's

The oil drain plug is threaded about as long as the spark plug on that model.
Reeeeeaaalllllyy long for a drain plug!

Not sure on the 700 I think it is more normal...

I guess feel is deceiving because I would of sworn the bosch was stronger in the cut when I was doing my 5-6 warm up cuts in another log not shown.


Use a “warm up” chain

Saw idle with new plug for about 30sec

Then go 5 or 6 cuts in big pine log TM didn’t want

Switch to new chain- do cut in cant.


Same process for the ngk.


Could NOT get the bosch to go over 13,320. I was like wtf. Cuz ngk was 13440.

I think it was a universal 1 cylinder 2 stroke kit ,it could be adapted to a saw .

I need to see if I can find that old plug that came out of my ole alky MVP166 when I took it on trade. I thought WTH.
I put in the shorter cooler running Bosch. I may still have it in a old plug bin I forgot about.

See if I have a pic of that long sucker.

RB where was your Bosch plug made at on side of plug. I have yet to see a china made OPE plug by bosch in ones I buy.
My last batch of 5 6 7 were 5 German and 6 7 Brazil still. I order in bulk from NWS.

You can see the shorter bosch 5E I like to run in my race stuff back in the day. 376 had a 038 mag piston. Back before the wiseco 52mm were being sold by EHP.
