This is correct, I myself jump to anger, nowhere near as much as I used to, but I still have problem with it.

Don't feel like the "Lone Ranger"...I tend to still internalize stuff more than I should...BUT not like I use to!

I believe you are right. Overcoming our hang-ups and harmful tendencies is an indication of growth. The man that had a hot-temper and used to fly off the handle is making progress when he contains himself, walks away, and/or refuses to enter into verbal conflicts. These are things that show progress is being made. It should be noted and appreciated.

These are the words of a modern spiritual song. It has great meaning. Thanks for the reminder.
Hope you have a great day sir.
As an aside, I believe the song was written by song writer Aaron Wilburn concerning his father. Though I could be mistaken. Aaron died of Covid this year. He was a Gospel singer, song writer and a bit of a comedian.

Samuel 16:7 ~ The Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.
I see and hear this alot, the worst I ever heard it from was my mother in law. She thinks differently now since knowing me for 16 years, lol

Observing life over many years I know this to be very true. Often many sell themselves short or deny any ability to be a help to others because they don't believe
their life is exceptional, or they don't have enough education, wealth or attainments. In reality a person has to have a genuine concern for others before they will
ever be effective in making a difference in their lives.
