Howdy my names Josh,
I have a 460 I bought around 3 years ago. I have only run a few tanks of mix thru it. I put the big clutch cover, dogs, oil control bolt, wrap, and new hd-16 carb, also have a max flow. Currently replacing topend with new oem. Was planning in on sending it to Kevin for porting. But things just aren’t working out. $800 PayPal F&F Shipped. Just noticed I will put a better muffler cove

I don't have personal experience with this. But, I have heard from several friends about this, with your similar opinion. Anyway, I'm searching to get a larger saw for processing logs, currently, I'm using a 029 Super with a 20" bar. But, I've felt some limits while comparing it with others. Recently, I found a used MS460 with a 25" bar for $500 from one of my neighbour. It seems like it has been used hugely and I'm not sure about its age. I think it's not too old. What's the bar size limit for this saw? I have sorted a few other options of STIHL ms460 from an online store with the help of one of my friends. Looking for recommendations from you about which one is worth it for me.

First off welcome to OPE.
The 460 is a 75cc saw and will pull chain on a 32'' bar with no problems. You could even throw a 36 on it although I'm unsure how well it would oil a 36. I'm guessing with no problems. I've run one with a 28 and 32. Doesn't mind those at all. I've been running a 25'' on my 461.

The saw for sail here will do you well. Hope this is why you are posting here in this thread.
