Sooo, i am debating between a normal backpack blower or the stihl 130 kombi head with the blower attachment. Anyone here own any of the kombi products?? If so, what do ya have and what do ya got to say about them good or bad? I moreless just need a good blower but like the idea of being able to add other attachments also. I got to use one of the kombi stick blower units a few years ago for about 5 min, just to blow snow off my truck and it seemed to work real well. Any info would be much appreciated!! Thanks!

Neither a attachment or H/Held will replace the power and comfort of a backpack for long periods of work. However, for small jobs like blowing snow off your truck a H/held KM-bg can be better, faster & easier than a B-pack. If I was you I'd just get a bg-56 or bg-86. They have the same engine and near the same power, the bg-56 has a detuned coil but is lighter as it don't have the spring AV and other stuff it. I have both and would reccomend the bg-56. If you are going to use a trimmer, pole saw, hedge attachments get a kombi by all means, I have one & there great. I also have backpacks too but when I need to quickly do a small job, the handhelds are what I pick up first. They are very maneuverable too for a task like cleaning snow off a truck.

The Kombi system seems awkward to me blowing for more than a few minutes. I've always had hand helds and my bg55 hasn't given me a lick of trouble. Have been looking into a backpack blower now that we have six acres of trees that I would like to get under better control.

If one was to get a backpack, other than the new br-200 (smallest class backpack) I'd look at other brands. There are just much better options than what Stihl has on offer.

Agreed not a huge fan of the 4mix stuff. Would rather just have a simple 2 stroke. Might look at the echo 580 or the Husqvarna 150bt

The blower just looked uncomfortable to use, so I haven't bought one.

I do have the Km90r with a straight shaft trimmer, brush cutter, pole saw with extension,
And multi angle hedge trimmer.

I really like the system. So much so I will be adding the cultivator, straight shaft edger, and I'm thinking about the power scythe.

If your worrying about reliabilty of the Stihl 4-Mix system don't as they very reliable. Since they use a 2 mix most customers don't even know they are 4 cycle until they see that I adjusted the valves on the work order.

Now those MTD and Ryobi 4 cycles are just not reliable at all; nearly every one that comes in the shop goes out to recycling center with piston and cylinder problems.

Now I have not seen the Echo 850 and only seen one Husqvarna 150tbt in the shop since I have been able to track the equipment via my shop's software.
