This probably is a oem coil and I’m pretty sure it will be for the fs80 av not the newer style. Stihl reused a bunch of model numbers on trimmers. The fs 70,80,90 av series is different then the fs70,80,90. Old Stihl trimmers made in japan by shindiawa I’m pretty sure.

my guess is this is the trimmer this coil fits, also some of this style had a little slide carb that was a complete pain in the ass and not worth the time or headaches. But some also had normal style Walbro, the only reason I know any of this is I acquired an fs90av and it took a ton of searches to come up with proper parts and info for it.

Thats for the input! Very detailed. So in ur experience would u say i list it with AV behind it for sure? Also just state as OEM? It took me a very long time of researching to even get remotely close of finding what it was for. I thought i had it pinned down but it seems i was off a fuzz. BTW thank you very much for the help!

I’d say it is an oem abs just looking at the legs on it for the flywheel and shape I’d say it’s for the old shindiawa trimmer. I have an fs90av and fs66 both are made i japan
