The durability difference is dramatic down here in the hard dirtwood
If you're dealing with really dirty wood - and want to run chisel - I would stick with Stihl - either 3/8ths or .404".

There are some semi-chisel chain types in .404" that are good for really dirty stuff in both Oregon and Stihl.

I’ve experimented with the Forester carbide chisel chain and have been impressed. It does need to be re-ground a bit (diamond wheel) but I spent a couple hrs cutting up some Maple that had been flooded over leaving the bark impregnated with River silt. I cut a load for my truck before it slowed down. It was easily touched up on the grinder, right back to sharp.
Cut speed was about like semi-chisel but the chips were much smaller than usual. Lowering the rakers helped a lot and the chain would pull itself through the wood just fine. 500i used

A friend and I had tried to cut some of this pile weeks before with regular chain that dulled out after only a couple rounds.

I bought a few more for the woodyard I sharpen chains for to try on some of their dirty pine and Fir. I don’t have a report as yet. Running a 661

3/8, .063 and .050
