Or how is husq chain edge retention compared to stihl?
The durability difference is dramatic down here in the hard dirtwoodI’m not a Stihl fan. But I do like they’re fuchen chain.
If you're dealing with really dirty wood - and want to run chisel - I would stick with Stihl - either 3/8ths or .404".The durability difference is dramatic down here in the hard dirtwood
I’ve experimented with the Forester carbide chisel chain and have been impressed. It does need to be re-ground a bit (diamond wheel) but I spent a couple hrs cutting up some Maple that had been flooded over leaving the bark impregnated with River silt. I cut a load for my truck before it slowed down. It was easily touched up on the grinder, right back to sharp. If you're dealing with really dirty wood - and want to run chisel - I would stick with Stihl - either 3/8ths or .404".
There are some semi-chisel chain types in .404" that are good for really dirty stuff in both Oregon and Stihl.
This roll is skip, maybe I sent the wrong link.Prefer skip, thanks
