Stihl 090 will not start

My son is trying to start my stihl 090 av. it has 142 psi compression new fuel and it has spark. has been hung on the wall for years and is excellent shape. Anyone have an idea?

Probably wouldn’t hurt to go through the carb and check fuel filter is it getting fuel ok ?

carb had an ultrasonic cleaning. He said its started now and starts easy when warm now. Will test again tomorrow when cold. He thinks its a little fincky when cold

Choke closing all the way?
High idle button holding throttle open?

Make sure the throttle rod isn't bent at all. I accidentally bent a throttle rod on an 075 and it had a hard time starting due to the throttle not fully opening when locked.

Lots of good suggestions but also look at your governor and linkage.

Which AV model is it?
