SOLD Stihl 088 *New Price

Have a decent 088 that I am selling for a guy. It was rebuilt by the guy that owns it. The piston was reused and has some scratches. The saw runs and oils as it should. The case has a piece busted off on the PTO side above the spike. The spike is also broken. Comes with a spare recoil and air filter cover. Both are decent. Look to get $1200 shipped. Will consider reasonable offers as well. Here is a list of what was done.

*replaced good used crank
*new crank seals
*new bearings
*new case and base gaskets
*new caber piston rings
*new recoil assy
*new shroud cover
*new air filter cover
*new clutch cover

Forgot to mention the chain brake handle was cut off. All the stuff is there,band and linkage.

Got some questions on another forum and what the cylinder looked like it has a score above the exhaust port that would catch a finger nail. This is looking down threw the spark plug hole

Had a guy buy it now on eBay and never pay. So it's back up for sale.

The joys of eBay. Good thing he didn’t buy it, use it and then Send it back saying it wasn’t as described. Between that and all of the fees associated with selling there, it’s better to take less here and have both parties pleased.

Yes I have run it. I didn't cut wood with it. I think it runs pretty good. Is it 100% no. But a decent saw.

I have great fun on eBay as a buyer. But as a seller I would rather not deal there. I am selling it for a guy and he wanted to sell it at a certain price and we all know eBay tends to bring more money.

I got a guy looking for 880/088 but wants ME to run it.... around here they are "hen's teeth" rare...unless you order from the dealer....then the bars don't match....blah blah...
He keeps wearing the crap outta 661(s) stumping and I keep telling him...088 sir... Yer guys aint strong enough to reef on an 088.
