Not my question to answer but…
660 (or 288) jug on the 084 and 440 jug on the 064 with deck spacers to organize bolt holes and bore height. Easier than putting a bigger jug on a smaller case.
I’m finding a lot of races don’t like hybrids. Harder to verify you’re following the rules. At least locally.
I grew up in the days of claim rules in dirt track racing. If you you thought the winner was cheating you could claim his/her engine for a small price. It was generally $300-$350. At some tracks it was just the heads and intake. After Dad and Jim stop racing they had a wrecker at the track. I remember late nights watching as they backed it up to a car so folks could pull an engine with flashlights. Unless there was clear evidence someone was cheating the claiming of an engine was considered a horsechit move. The winner could deny the claim but they would then lose their winnings (for the night) and their points for the year. When I was racing 2.3 SOHC Ford engines almost 35 years ago there were guys pressuring me to claim a guy that had won because he was running a aluminum Esslinger head. The guy was not cheating at all but these arseholes just wanted me to do it so they knew the guy would deny the claim and lose his points. The bare head at that time was around $2000. There was no way I was claiming him. The guy was doing nothing wrong, he was a decent guy but had deeper pockets.....hell one of the guys pushing me to make the claim was the biggest cheater in the class.
