I'm thinking that @Bill G has an 064 runner and a project saw up for sale.

Whole, running saw or boxed project? 🤪
Whatever is available - I’ve a saw at a builder in NY but my Bearing pockets in the cases are wallowed out. Could try metal epoxy as a last resort if nothing materializes 🤣

I’ve already used a feeler gauge shim and extra-high strength thread locker in a pinch.
It’s not like you have to do something special to beat the strength of aluminum.

Well … the guy building the saw for me prefers new oem … to reweld and line bore is cost prohibitive and the epoxy may/may not work satisfactorily long term

I sent a tired 064 to a builder in NY but upon further investigation he said the bearing pockets were wallowed out and it wood be best to try and find a matching set of cases. Start from the beginning with new cases bearings / seals / gaskets

Bearing pockets can be replaced. Contact Brad, Hdtoolmkr765 on AS.
He’s doing two 372xp halves for me.

From what Frankie told me everything has to be dead nuts true here - really NO margin for even the slightest error. From what he said you could bore the wallowed out pockets , install an oversize bearing OR install a bushing and then machine that bushing to size and press the bearing in OR use a metal repair epoxy … Seems like either way would work but a matched set of cases wood be sooooo much easier to work with and be around the same cost and much less effort.
