SOLD Stihl 044c cylinder

This cylinder has the auto choke port cast in at the base. The cylinder was sitting on a dealership shelf in the box. Although the cylinder looks almost new it has been run at some point. My guess is it was put on and few for a few minutes or it was a new saw take off that was only run for tuning. I’d like $105 obo for it.

Wow, slant fin, I bet the port timing is real good compared to the newer 044/ms440

For sure, I had a slant fin 10mm saw a while back and it was a ripper.

A guy could more than likely plug the choke port for use on a normal 044 ms440

It does. I put one together from the crank up and didn’t catch the choke port in the base. It ran but had a massive air leak lol. I taped it off on the base and filled it full from the front. There’s a nice 90° angle inside there so it will never come out
