Hey there folks. I've got a rebuilt early 044 that I would like to sell. I just finished a full overhaul on this a couple weeks ago. I will outline most of what I have done but remember to ask questions if I missed anything or you want to know more about a particular thing. Most important thing to know is that this saw is 100% oem. You'll also notice that the rear handle looks funky. At some point it got boogered up and had some rough and jagged edges so I squared it up and smoothed out the edges. Tank has no cracks or other breaks. New or refurbished parts are as follows;
New crank bearings & seals
New wrist pin bearing
New piston rings
All New gaskets
New cylinder bolts
Rebuilt Zama carb.
New spark plug
New fuel line and filter
New fuel cap
New clutch needle bearing
New clutch springs
New chain catcher
New chip flap
New Elastostart handle/pull cord
I cleaned up the Mahle slant fin cylinder thoroughly, smoothed out casting imperfections on the intake and polished the exhaust port. Other than that the porting is stock. Mahle piston is in very good used shape and clean. Piston to Cylinder wall clearance is .003, lots of life left in it. So far I've put close to a tank through it and it cuts and oils like it should. Has quite a bit of snort and good tone! I stand by my work and I'm sure this saw will make someone happy. Asking $375 pho or $415 with a 20" bar + new chain or $450 with a 28" bar and new chain. You will also have to pay for shipping. Ive got full skip, full comp and possibly some semi skip somewhere so I can spin up whatever chain you want. Please contact me with questions. Have a good one!
