Any one know if the holzfforma case splittijg tool marketed for stihl 440,460(etc etc) can be used on other makes?

Oh sweet!!! A case splitter/welding coupon! I've seen the actual tool before but couldn't bring myself to pay that much. I've been using heat and a hammer. But now that it seems I'll be doing it alot more frequently I should start getting the proper tools. Is that only on eBay?

Oh sweet!!! A case splitter/welding coupon! I've seen the actual tool before but couldn't bring myself to pay that much. I've been using heat and a hammer. But now that it seems I'll be doing it alot more frequently I should start getting the proper tools. Is that only on eBay?
So far as I know it is only on eBay. I got one a few years ago and have used it on several huskies and some Stihls

I got a generic one off eBay quite a while back…has worked on every saw I’ve split so far.

I've got one no welding required it's been working great for the past five years now I use it on most saws I've replaced cranks in just make damn sure you get all the case screws out. Lol

Funny you say that. Almost did that on my 51/55 about 10 minutes ago. Totally spaced the rear one. Luckily I hadn't hit anything yet just heat.
