I do appreciate everything guys. I really value the objective opinions about what I'm dealing with. I feel that I'm a great asset to any company I work for. Since this is seasonal it's perfect for me to make some decent quick honest money to survive on while I look for a job in my field that I really enjoy. Sometimes when you get used to making great money you are also trapped tgere because your lifestyle requires it. I never lived check to check and always budgeted money well. But after hospital bills and expenses getting ready for the baby I was ~9000 over budget. Tgat and loosing my job after just made it hurt worse. The company I worked at changed owners about 3 years ago and it was no longer a great place to work. But I was sort of trapped trying to do the best I could for my soon to be bigger family .so maybe it's better off this way, I don't know but I know we will be ok because I will make sure of it. Faith in karma won't do chit but let his butt off the hook. That complaint should be a simple process and will educate that guy so there isn't another victim like you in the future. It won't be necessary to be dealing with any lawyers or other bs.

The one thing I'm concerned about is them black balling me because I turn them in. I still need a good reverence from them to help secure another job. As right now they still should and I ot a letter of recommendation from my Forman, build leader/and a engineer. I will have to think about it.

Just so you know you only have to give a statement to the unemployment office you don't have to have a lawyer or a court hearing they do the rest
and if it goes your way they have to give your job back, plus back pay you for the days that you would be working after you came back from FMLA.
The state makes it clear no harassment or they will be in trouble.
I respect your decision and I'll leave it at that.

I'm sorry you lost your job and I hope your wife and child are doing well.
Listen if your boss canned you call the State you have the option to use the federal family medical leave act.
And believe me the state will put his ass in the ringer for wrongfully firing you without telling you , you had the option to use it.
my wife had a medical condition and they canned her and the company had to eat crow and hire her back.

*f-word em. You want to work for people that aren't arseholes. I think you're right about not burning this bridge. At least until you've crossed it. At that point you may want to follow up with legal recourse, but you need to take care of you and yours more than the other guy.
