261 VW saws w/16" B&C are on sale in Vancouver, BC right now. $620 USD, OTD with BC sales tax. Supposed to be a way to get the sales tax back, but I have never done that. Regular 261 saws are $536 USD, OTD. Using $0.76 CDN on the USD x-change rate as of today. Using sales tax rate in BC of 12% (GST + HST).

I am again tempted to spend $70 in gas and make the drive up to BC. If I can get the sales tax back I could cover the cost of gas. Its 260 miles each way. Have to drive at night to avoid Seattle traffic.

Those prices sound about right. I wasn't going to mention any actual prices in someone else For Sale Thread but if anyone was to PM me I could fill them in on the details.

I am just posting advertised prices off the Stihl web site. Its no secret. Also only posting the sales $ for 261 and 261 VW saws, different saw than the 362 VW posted here. No sales on that saw now in Canada that I am aware of. With gas and time, this is a reasonable price (though it depends on if the price includes postage or not).

I agree shipping is a pain. The 3 I shipped today we're all around $50.
They do get the warranty registered in their name though.

Yes that is a 441 Arctic. It may well end up for sale here as well.
