What are your rules for this year on keep for hatchery vs. wild. And any idea on catch ratio between the two. Seems like you have more pictures of hatchery this year. Lake I have been catching crappie is supposed to have higher ratio of whites to black but most of what I caught fishing brush this summer were black.

It’s been a much better hatchery ratio this year so far. The early pod this year was a solid 80% hatchery. And now it’s about 50-50. We can keep 2 wild chinook and 3 wild coho. There are also some nearby rivers that are open too., but I mainly fish the tidewater of the bay Let some beautiful fish go recently, hopefully some more hatchery’s show up

Nice fish!

Never been out west coast. Where on the river are you?
Tillamook bay tide water , 5 rivers feed it, hatchery chinook and coho , all go up the Trask river. The Nestucca and nehelem rivers have hatchery programs as well, and they’re only about a half hour to 45 minutes away, I usually fist in the Halom early for Chinook and the Tillamook Bay a little bit later, I grew up on the Nestucca,,but haven’t fished it much since, the Wilson river is the hatchery steelhead river, but it gets Chinook Coho, chum and steelhead

Another butt load of mostly 8-9”. None over 10”
Few conservation ponds I have been reading about have set high keep limits in order to get rid of an over population of crappie. Nothing too close by but I think where my nephew is working has one though. Too many small fish for the size of the pond.
