I don't know if it merits its own spot or not, but I wouldn't mind some feedback on experience with the newer units. Whatcha think gang?

It doesn't necessarily need its own forum, I'm just not sure where to post a question or two about the new Ariens line of machines.

I am on my third winter with an Ariens Deluxe 28. It has the Auto -Turn which I find sometimes is hard to keep dead straight but sure does making turns easier. Steer it where you want to go and there it goes. I did buy early in the season and was able to get the American Made Briggs motor not the Chinese Ariens Polar-Force. I don't know what they offer for power plants now.

If there are any questions you have post'em here and maybe I can help...

Thanks GC, just the info I'm looking for! I figure that issue with uneven terrain is something that I can learn to deal with. Hopefully.
I don't care about absolutely straight lines, just don't want to be fighting the machine all over the yard.

All Chinese, I think. Even the B&S one's are Chinese made now, according to the dealer.

Did you go with the composite skid shoes, GC? I understand they might help with the straight lines and uneven terrain.

I didn't but should have. Now we are back in the city and paved and it's not so much a problem but on the old gravel drive they would have helped.

Good to know. I'll see about getting a set before picking up the machine. Thanks for the input, cheers!

What's a snowblower?

Other than lawnmowers the #1 selling piece of OPE north of the 49 parallel and probably even a little lower than that. There are 14 houses on my street, no fewer than 9 house holds have snowblowers. I think at most 3 have chainsaws...

I know your Florida orange juice self was being sarcastic but I just thought I would add some more info as it's hard to find good after market suppliers of snowblower stuff...

I've had this bad boy for about 5yrs now. It works great. Throws snow 30ft or more.(throws gravel even farther) I've had to replace the main drive belt for the blower twice now and the love joy coupler once. The belt and love joy failures were both caused from getting sticks jammed in the thrower.image.jpg
