Used my single stage blower yesterday and have been having trouble with snow clogging the chute, so wondering what others use to help with the snow sticking. I would also use it on shovels. Put some Dupont

Non-Stick Dry-Film Lubricant

in my shopping cart but not ordered yet.

Thanks

I've used lemon pledge on the front end of M/C's to keep bugs from sticking and to detail again after a ride. Stuff doesn't seem to stick when used somewhat regularly. Including tar.

Pam it is. Just thought there may be better options but that will teach me for thinking. Already have an Ariens S522 but found this on Craigslist this morning. Just needs new paddles and fresh mix but starts right up and seems to run well. Don't think it's had much use so should be a great buy once the paddles show up in a week.20251130_100510.jpg

Cheap, plentiful and biodegradable...make sure you buy a can for the shop, you don't want to get yelled at when the can in the kitchen is needed an not there...
Yeh, some of those teflon products are magic and I use them for a thing or two where nothing else will do but they can be some nasty stuff.

I was working on the Toro equivalent of that on Saturday. It has a weird 2 stroke that looks like a Lawnboy engine but is actually licensed by Briggs.

EDIT: does your 522 have a 2 stroke? If it does, I think that I was probably working on the 5 hp Toro, not the 3 hp.

But then you're just trading it for other problems.
It is hard for people to get acclimated to temperature that is significantly warmer than where they were raised. That’s how it is with cattle, too; you can move a herd north but you probably don’t want to move it south.

even southern Ill gets hammed ever so often, maybe not as often as further north ( 10" Sat -Sunday) so much fun getting the early present from mother nature out of the way Sunday ( Mid state WI)

All the football in the midwest I saw this weekend looked a bit brisk.

The 522 is 5HP while the 322 is 3. I saw that the 322 uses a Tecumseh motor but not sure on the 522. Mine starts so good just a few primer hits and starts right up with no choke. I'll keep it as a spare/loaner when out in the neighborhood or maybe sell it.

The cheaper the better when it comes to snow blower anti snow clogging spray remedies.

The issue is most fly off in a few minutes of use if it’s a wet heavy snow like most of the storms in east PA.

I was a facility’s manager at a big church with a 200 kid pre school from 2000-14 and we had some big snows in my 1st few years. The best solution I found was off season prep along with changing the flow transitions on plastic shoots and melting candle wax on to the metal parts and snow shovels. The next best thing to hot waxing and much faster is cheap spray ski wax.
