June 30 was my last day on the hog farm. It was a tough decision, but I left it. I didn't see a future in it for me and this spring I was approached and asked if I'd entertain being the maintenance guy at a local egg processing plant.

On average this machine is processing 100,000 dozen eggs a day.

The day I left the farm dad started phasing out the sows. The last sows are farrowing this week. Once his hogs are off the farm he is going to contact finish for another producer.
