I was looking at the diagram for a small Sip Medusa 2500 generator and am stumped.
It is supposed to have an AVR and has brushes.
Looking at the basic parts schematic there is no sign of a bridged rectifier,
yet there are two slip rings and a set of brushes in there.

To top off my confusion, the AVR does not seem to have enough wires on
it to complete the task.

Am wondering if this is a capacitor excited generator, being sold as an AVR
regulated model, it has happened before.

Your opinions are welcome, thanks

Well, I see a bridge rectifier up in the control panel area / No 41 in the parts list,
not sure if it is for the 12 volt 8 amp charging circuit the generator uses for external
battery charging.
Still do not see enough wires on the AVR to make it all work though.

Part 95 shows avr. Internal I think.

I saw that, but looks like only two wires, and if so its no AVR, just a capacitor,
which would mean no voltage adjustment available.

I did see that, but still no detail showing an AVR connected, doesn't show the slip rings
for the brushes either.
I assume like a lot of the cheap stuff the details in the schematic may be for an older
or similar model, or not updated due to laziness which is rampant these days.
Was going to buy it for experimental reasons, to test different alternators on,
but I need an avr and not a capacitor type.
Ringing the suppliers is no good, they are worse than the big box store chainsaw experts,
they know absolutely nothing and care even less.
