That's sucky to have a chainsaw license to purchase a saw.
I've heard of the UK TV license stuff, but this is a new one.
Yup...if you want to work in the tree work industry "by the book" over here you have to go on a corse . There are stages that cover you for different tree work.
Its the topers you mostly get asked to produce the correct paper work to buy....due to there "Specialist" designation...

Yup..its been brought in for a while now. Health and Safety at work stuff ...It covers safe operation of the saw and correct felling practice along with other safety stuff. If your a home owner you can (in theory ! !) do your own thing , but you work in the industry or are employed you need your ticket.

An 020T will do more than limb and trim. You just have to bend over farther than a rear handle.

Gotta have both.

I always carry a Silky Zubat on my saddle when climbing. It's great when cuts are near the rope and hand catching and tossing limbs. Also carry a 200T.

Hand saws are great for fine pruning of ornamentals on the ground.
