From what I've read so far Winchester made they're own stuff if it has te 3 lines stamped as mine does. 2 lines is newer stuff with most coming from overseas. They also made axes for keen kutter which were labeled as "keen kutter "

Good research something else too remember , Iam never a great fan of handling
These type of heads , if a handle is going wrong for me it’s on one of these heads ha ha

Thanks. Been "restoring" axe heads for about a year now and really enjoy it. I like trying jew stuff like burning and staining the handles. Here lately I have been trying to drive metal wedges in the hang and I have butchered a couple nice wooden wedge hangs.

No sorry it’s just I’ve seen them come up for sale sometimes and there
always $200 upwards

But I will have a look now and see the history
