I didn't see a link for a tool?
I heard "cool too" and something about a hand model.
What is this tool you speak of.

Another question. Why not use a small impact on the nut to pull it in?
Is that too much?

The real tool is the guy on camera, but you can find the helpful device right here:

I'm too dainty for an impact, you could try one and I'm sure it would be fine, but with the minimal amount of force needed it's really not necessary

And his back yard is in Asia. They make calipers there :D
Somebody had to heckle you.

That's good stuff right there. Straight to the point with no fluff or BS. When I was young and super cheap it was easier to get a crunched saw and swap it's guts out or grab the brass drift pin and a hammer. It never ends well for the piston. That tool just makes it effortless and easy, so easy to fix so many small assemblies.

Yep, you're right buddy. I remember working on these saws in the past and that was always a fear of mine. I knew there had to be a better way.

Those companies all had their own special tools for removal, but they're mostly long gone. We were looking for something plentiful and easy to replicate.

Now we're finding more and more uses for it.
