Do most BC fallers wear chainsaw pants instead of inserts or chaps? I’ve been looking for a pair to try, maybe I’ll try those.I wear Pfanner Ventilation pants, super comfortable.

That’s why I haven’t pulled the plug on any yet. I’ve heard the sizing is off like you said, and I’m not aware of any local places having any, hence why I have stuck with inserts and double-front pants. To be honest I've never seen a faller on the coast wear chaps, always pants. Even though some chaps meet our safety standard I don't know of any company that would allow it here, have to wear full pants.
One thing to remember if you buy Pfanner pants is that there sizes are completely wrong. I wear a 32" waist pant regularly and according to pfanner their size small is a 32" waist. Well I didn't trust that and bought a medium for my first pair which list as a 35" waist, they fit but were quite snug mainly in the upper legs lol I'm now wearing a large which they say is a 38" waist, they are a little big in the waist but fit my legs much better. Would be nice if you could try them on first as they are on the more expensive side when it comes to chainsaw pants but I find them to be the most comfortable.
I bought a pair of Pfanner gladiator chainsaw pants & they fit awful. I’m 6’1”& 160 lb. I bought a pair of medium long, the length & waist of fine but they sit WAY low on my waist & are super uncomfortable. It’s like they were cut for a woman. When I try to pull em up higher that cut into my baggage severely & are most uncomfortable. If anyone thinks they’d fit into em let me know. They are like new.To be honest I've never seen a faller on the coast wear chaps, always pants. Anybody wearing Husqvarna technical pants? How’s the sizing on those?
That’s too bad.Size runs like normal pants for the most part but they don’t last at all. They start tearing across where the Kevlar ends on the upper thigh fairy quick. The general consensus around here is they’re made very poorly, not for everyday use like logging. Only pair I had lasted about 3 months and fell apart.
I think I might try some. I wear a 32” waist pant normally, so I’ll probably try a large like you with long length option. It looks like you must add suspenders buttons from what I’m seeing.I find them quite good. Like all pants they get wet but I do find them to be quite water resistant, takes a while to soak through. And I do find that the stretch helps a ton, much more comfortable moving around even when wet.
