Ryobi C46-18--Sell or give away?

I was given this Ryobi 18" saw, I'm wondering whether to give it away or get it running hopefully, sharpen the chain and sell it. What would you do? I dumped out the old gas which probably messed up the carb.; I put in some Truefuel, it ran briefly then would not start.

By professional standards pretty junky.

I've never done one, thanks for the advice. Do these have any real market value? Wasn't it Ryobi that gave Home Depot a black eye since they pushed them so hard as their brand?

Perfect saw to start learning. It was free and they are not worth a lot in running condition.

Ya. There's a non runner that doesn't look too bad on ebay right now for $45. Couple more on there for a few more doll hairs but, they probably aren't going to sell for that much. Looks like they were around $230 new from home depot if that tells you anything. Not a whole lot of stuff available either but, you can get a carb for under $20. If much else is in disrepair I think I would try to sell it on Craig's list or something for $50.

Yes, in the Atlanta area it is $50 and it will take about a month to sell it. I have a Ryobi RY10532, which seems like a nice little saw. But, I would not count on getting more then $60 tops for it.

The strategy worked well, make small gas powered equipment so horrible in quality, that when everyone jumps on the electric band wagon, people will be begging for the privilege of using a less powerful and more expensive cordless tool. Then you can sell all the useless gizmos in that eco system of batteries to sell even more tools, then if you had just produced a decent gas saw that lasted ten years.
