Yawzer! They want $150 for that carb. It ain't gonna be that special inside. Some options:
Disassemble carb and look over diaphragms and gaskets. I gotta think they'll be in a K10-WAT or K20-WAT kit. Study what's in those kits.
Look carb over noting: throttle wire link, choke link, impulse hole. Find a close replacement carb. You may can change choke and throttle rods from OEM to replacement carb but they can be different diameters. I've adapted the MS180 carb (~$10) to other tiny saws.

I'll check that out .when I was looking at the carb online I nearly flipped out at the price . It had a pinhole in the fuel line but it was down by the filter I don't see that would have caused the problem

The pinhole in the fuel line may not matter IF line stays submerged in fuel. If low fuel level allows pinhole to be in air, it is an air leak. Try to post pics of your carb.

Wow...that is one BUSY carb. Hard to tell...is 1 of the 4 metering plate screws offset? Normally, these 4 little screws make a perfect square.
Here are 5 pics of an MS180 carb:

Fuel line is on other side - but may not be a problem to reroute. See how rest of carb matches up. See if all the external stuff can be hung on it.
Choke rod and throttle rod measure 4.8mm diameter.
If the metering plate screws don't match up - best to find diaphragms and gaskets.

I'll check it out . Our local redmax dealer dropped redmax said he had a lot of carb problems . That's how I ended up with it in my shop. I put new diaphragm in it from a different walbro carb . The saw is over revving at wot I've adjusted on it and can't make it quit .. it also bogs at about half throttle.

Well I found a carb kit that works. All but the needle. The saw is running decent right now . Cut with it about 15 min . The carb isn't perfect yet though it's not holding pressure completely. Leaking very slow .

In your pic - the bottom hole is the impulse. The top hole should be a dead end. There should be gasket between above side and the intake plate / adapter...is gasket in good shape?

Yes it looks good. I had replaced it with a new one . It was only leaking on the impulse. I forgot which one it was when posting the pic.

Leaking on impulse?...As in, fuel wets the carb gasket? I'd think bad carb gasket or carb mounting screws are not making a tight carb--gasket--intake connection. And the needle isn't one of the only 2 (that I've seen) - long one or short one?

It's the short needle . It was leaking from that impulse hole on the carb . When I done the pressure test .

You're beyond my experience - never pressure tested one. There is a one way check valve inside the carb - does that mean it's faulty? I dunno. I've read when valve is faulty, carb is trash. Worth trying a new needle. I'm sure I have some in kits that I half used. PM your addy and I'll mail you one.

I probably would have been better off not pressure testing it. If I can get it to run good I may just let it go . It's my uncles saw and he don't wanna spend much on it .. I have a carb on a stihl 028 super that doesn't hold pressure and it runs great so who knows .
