It has an air leak somewhere, it cuts strong for 1-4 cuts then dies and won't run until cooled off. Before that it has a somewhat fast unsteady idle. The carb was tested on another saw and is good, a good carb swapped on and same problem.
I don't remember seeing any scoring when I looked through the spark plug hole, that's the first thing I check.
It has brand new main rubber AV mounts. I think the clutch cover is cracked preventing the tensioner gears from staying meshed, and it has some cracks and the like here and there. No crank case cracks from what I could see.
I'm guessing it is either the cylinder gasket dissolved, or the case gasket failed, or failed bearing seals.
Loosening the gas cap doesn't help the lean condition.
