True but thats not really an advantage to me. I'm not crazy about how they look, I have one on my 661 but then again its a saw... not like its supposed to be pretty.



I will too just as soon as I can find a socket that fits into the stock baffle to take the nuts off. All my 8mm and 5/16s are too fat walled. Must have tried 6 different sockets at this point and none fit in there.

Stihls 8mm T handle is what you need - 5910 890 2420.

The Stihl tool fits and the Wiha doesn't..go figure..it's hard to see the difference at a simple glance..but it's there.

Stuck the socket on an impact, while spinning it, grind it with angle grinder. I have done a few, NOT PAYING STIHL for the premium fancy thin wall socket.
