Sorry for the delay in responding, been busy these past few days. It goes like this:
'00/'07: Mk1 sedans, wagons, hatchbacks with Zetec 2.0/2.3 & Duratec 2.0/2.3 engines including SVT, Zx4/Zx5's, Roush/Saleen models.
'08/'11: Mk2 sedans and coupes with the Duratec 2.0, manual transmission in some models, most are auto w/4F27E's. First year '08's don't have certain features because they were just introduced. '09 and up have them and some are as fancy with a moonroof, heated seats, ect. The Mazda3 is a compatible car and shares parts with it, alot is the same bolt on except for the rims (4x108 Focus vs 5x108 M3)
'12 and current: Mk3 which is the sedans, hatchbacks, ST's and RS's with the dreaded DCT bulk chit, RS/ST and a few come in manual but even the manual is crap too.

00-04 was 2.0 split port Sohc or zetec dohc. Zetec only came in 2.0. 2.3 duratec debuted in 03. Svt was 02-04 with a 2.0 zetec built by cosworth england and was 6 speed only.
05-07 2.0 and 2.3 duratec only. 2.3 mated with a 5 speed and in the st trim only. St trim in 4 door sedan only. Svt trim dropped
08-11 2.3 dropped. 2.0 duratec only. Wagon trim and hatchback dropped. Only 2 door coup and 4 door sedan.
This is where i lost interest in the focus.
12 up. 2.0 GDI engine on all trims. 5 speed or DCT. 2 door dropped. Hatchback returns in a 4 door. Sedan in 4 door. St trim returns with a ecoboost 2.0 and 5? Speed and hatch only.. RS trim comes to America. 2.0 ecoboost, 6 speed, AWD, recaro interior. In a hatch only
Are you guys saying I should buy a 05-07 with the 2.3 liter Duratec?
