So if I understand correctly, a bad hoe is still better than no hoe.
Provided said hoe doesn't provide the itches.
A passing shower here currently.
And some flowers that popped up from where my kids had spread some seeds this spring.

After running excavators for years, I get too frustrated on a backhoe, it feels like torture in comparison! Lol
But it’s better than a shovel for sure!
Working on a fence for a guy and he borrowed the neighbors backhoe... running a John Deere hoe makes me really appreciate my Case. What a piece of junk, and I can’t stand JD controls.
Better than a shovel, I guess.

48k is a lot of weight for sure, the Michigan special trucks with a steel 8-axle trailer were only 50k, we set 100-105k on the decks, normal loads for me running across the state were right around 100k. You could gross a lot more, but good luck getting your axles right. My last ticket for being overweight was in Ohio, I had a permit for the load, but someone in the office messed up on the trailer description so it voided the permit, I was 16k over gross. What makes it all funny is that if they would have loaded it on a spread axle(axles 9 or 10' apart) trailer the load would have been way under 80 gross114k lbs was max legal weight on that set, for everyday driving. No permits needed, unless one of the roads you were going to be on were rated lower. There’s a whole book of road ratings we needed to have with us at all times. The general limit is 50 metric tonnes, given you have all the correct axles, spacing, etc. Then there’s a leeway of 1 ton per vehicle, so 2 tonnes in total. Making it 52,000 kg which is just over 114k lbs. That set was particularly heavy empty, because of all the add ons on the trailer. The extension and axles and hydraulics put me up to 22 metric empty, about 48k lbs.
Yes, a lot of people aren’t very patient when it comes to wide and long loads. We did a fair amount of it in the middle of the night, as the roads were too narrow to meet much other traffic. Police escort helps tremendously. Lol
It took a while for me to get used to, and after that I thought everything else rode like bucking broncos. Lol
I never really made it further than Denmark. Most of my hauls were pretty local, and I was home most nights. We did a lot of hauling for mechanical contractors and steel suppliers, and we had a ship yard as our biggest client. A lot of my time was spent rigging and loading/unloading.
We had a few other trucks that did mostly building supplies and hazmat hauls for water treatment plants and such.
There are some cool cops out there, for sure.48k is a lot of weight for sure, the Michigan special trucks with a steel 8-axle trailer were only 50k, we set 100-105k on the decks, normal loads for me running across the state were right around 100k. The cop was cool and wrote the ticket in the company name as he could tell it was their fault. Then he told me that the cop in the next town wasn't as nice as him and that she went off duty at 2, so I let there at 2 and made a run for the boarder

Nice Andrew. Denmark is a beautiful country. I’ve been there quite a bit on vacation trips and such, but not often on business related stuff.I used too go up too vilhelmsburg and Aarhus a few times a year
Usually took the DFDS ferry from east of he U.K. to Esbjerg
And then a back load down through Hamburg
You would have liked lower Germany Sondre there’s some fantastic hills and turns
Have had some good driving miles down there with other trucks
There was a few roads like this one in the photo where trucks where only allowed 40km on the top of the hill then 70km no overtaking
then near the bottom national speed limit and overtaking so all hell Broke
Loose for a mile or so before the no overtaking came In again too go up the hill

I can only imagine how the driving would be on those roads Andrew. There are some odd rules some places, and you wonder who’s in charge. Lol
I’ve driven down to Belgium and the Netherlands a few times, but it was only on vacation trips, so I didn’t get a feel for how it would be there with a truck.
