That's cool, don't see to many cabovers here these days. Back in 93-94 I pulled a set of double with a cabover KW, it had a stack of leaf springs that must have been over a foot tall, rode terrible. One day my pup trailer was down and I went to pick up a load, they happened to have a "super coil", it was 7' long and had the bows(that hold the tarp up, like a covered wagon) on my trailer pushed up out of the pockets, it was a 40 ton coil, my truck never rode so nice, just had to take the long way back.
Put in cometic gaskets. I am running a .030 I think. Made a big difference in compression, without making her run hot. I just wanted my bike to be more 'ridable' is why I did the mods. Stock, they are hoorz. But its so cool here I prolly coulda gone more aggressive. Still, she has loads of torque compared to stock.
I had to sell her, thoInjured my leg and back almost 2 years ago and couldn't barely walk until recently. Made me really enjoy life again when I got back on my feet, even though I might have a permanent limp. I couldn't work for over a year, and I got denied disability coz I am not yet a citizen(even though I worked, and I have permission to work). My wife, as a cit, got $113/wk for me as a 'dependant'. This after I have paid thousands in taxes. Blergh. My life, mang. At least all the hospital bills only amounted to a couple thousand. If I injured myself like this stateside, I would have been out that much the first day
Sry for the rant, it just all came out there.
I miss my bike, thoBut I'll get another eventually. So lemme know AJS if ya wanna buy an 044 and a 241

Is that common place to park motorcycles on the sidewalk?
Is that what you guys call the cabovers. They can get into spots a truck with a hood can't.Ain't no room for hognoses in Europe![]()
I pulled doubles/two 26' trailers behind the truck I drove like the one above, guys were amazed at how I could snake them around and how I could back them. Whats funny is I was only 22-23 when I pulled that setup, then I went to an eight axle setup, guys would look at me like I was trying to steal the truck when I go in it lol.Yeah true close coupled long trailers and drags is the only way and now everything is getting rear steer even better
What's a topper. That beast I was driving you couldn't keep a pop/soda in the cup holder when empty, it wouldn't just spill, it would fly out of it, loaded was a little better. Now the steel coils they rode better than I did as the double trailers I hauled were air ride aluminum, one day I couldn't find my soda when I got in the truck, the next day and 180 miles down the rd I found it sitting right where I set it when I got loaded.I drove a topper years ago with deep leaves it was awful empty tried your back
the rear tyres tilted inwards when empty and only levelled out when loaded
You just reminded me my 4300 is at a buddies house, need to grab it as well as my 2152 I've never ran lol.Iam ok on the saws at the moment I don’t ever buy any stills

Here's a picture of one just like the one I drove except the color. It had a 450hp motor with a 13sp trans, it pulled well, but the ride....

The 241 is a nice little saw, too bad it's way more cash than a 4300, I have a ported 241, fun saw.
This was my truck back in early to mid 2000’s. The whole top of the cab had air suspension, and had a very unique way of driving. It kinda floated independently from the rest of the chassis. Living quarters like no other truck in Europe, in my opinion.
470hp Mack 12 liter. Rather anemic when pulling 114k lbs in the mountains.
Trailer had a 20” extension in the middle for hauling long stuff, and hydraulic steering on the trailer axles for getting around the tighter areas.
I did quite a bit of long and wide loads, and the trailer was worth its worth in gold sometimes.
