I arrived early to some meeting at the Tuskegee VA, so drive down the street to the original Tuskegee Airmen site.

Little place, most of the original barracks buildings are gone. A few pilots practicing touch-n-goes. The place was empty which made it strange just walking around.

Been working in this area for a while and never had time to stop in, the park rangers were cool older folks and we talked for a bit. Learned a lots of history I never knew about the airmen.

It was impressive, very nicely restored. Zero rust, perfect paint, all labels, every rivet. Made the OCD’ness happy.
Wish I could hear that engine turn over though. They had another display unit that you could touch

I’m a stickler for paint, not even seeing chips and dents on your bumper.

It can vary quite a bit. In any case, I wouldn't go to Ireland looking for a beach holiday.
