I wouldn’t buy anything less than a 2500/250. I prefer a 1 ton with an 8’ bed.

If I did nothing but tow/haul 20,000 + I’d probably get a 4500 C&C and put a flat bed on it.
Ya if you need it get it! The 1 tons usually hold up better, and definitely under heavy use, but the extra weight and hd equipment usually costs fuel mileage, almost everything is a trade off! I don’t need to tow much , and I like fuel mileage, so that’s why I get half tons for personal driving, but for work It’s different we have an f super duty with a 12’ dump bed and and an obs crew cab, but they sit most of the time, only when needed

Well I can’t justify two trucks right now... mine is for work and personal use, and it has to be up to anything I throw at it. Even with the crappy mileage, I still like the one ton with the diesel... and it’s nice to know I can load it to 30,000 lbs and go if need be.

Exactly! Everyone has reasons for owning what they have, you try to make the best decision for your usage, the money, and personal taste. Lots of times it’s nostalgia, a brand or whatever! Lol if I had to tow, I wouldn’t own what I own! Lol
