I started at 6am , finished about 430 pm

It's El Capitan the neighbor's son in law retrieves climber's gear on, not Half Dome. Something didn't seem right about it being an out and back my old, tired ass could feasibly do in a day.

NightForce nx8 4-32x50. It’s a hunting rifle but gonna also do some long range shooting with it.

That's a helluva scope. Mine turn into more of a long range gun than hunting. I've got 12" round steel set up at ~550 yd on NF land 20 minutes from our place on the Klamath. Need to put up a 200 yd. You're welcome to shoot it if in the area.

Pricey but I wanted a good quality scope. Where are you at? I’m in Weaverville, Trinity County…

I haven’t shot or hunted in several years, just getting back into it. Gotta get ready for Elk & Deer hunting in Idaho this fall.

Guys at the range have let me shoot their rifles with Night Force scopes. Much better than the 6x32 50mm Arken I have. You can see a fly clearly at 300 yards with the NF. My Arken starts getting blurry beyond about 26X.
We're between Seiad Valley and Happy Camp in Siskiyou County.
