I need about another 200 acres just to turn it around and a loan just to fill the diesel tank. Went to try to get some info on a red iron building and got turned away by practically every builder there. I guess they think I was just a tire kicker and didn't pay any attention that I was carrying the checkbook. The quonset building owner was there and answered every question we had and also had some buildings that were to be used for shows at discount. 30 x 45 x 14 will be delivered in September which gives me plenty of time to do the concrete work. I will do the ends myself. I asked about them and he said that they make them, but it would be cheaper if I did them myself. Kinda refreshing to have someone be upfront about something like that. May go ahead and order a few extra ribs to make porch of sorts. Do it now and forget about it.

That's great you finally will have a workspace! It's a shame that these contractors go to the shows to sell their products and get so snoody with who they sell to. I guess they are so swamped with jobs they don't need your money. We went to a home show a while back for a fence contractor for our first house. The only one that even remotely showed interest in us was still an azzhole. It was at that point I figured I would just do it myself.

That's why I drove all the way to your area to buy a tractor. People at that dealership wanted my money and treated us like family.

I just bought a John Deere 1025R sub-compact. They're doing 0% financing through October (as are most brands). Tractor, loader, 54" drive-over deck, 53" root grapple, 3rd SCV, power beyond. Still waiting to hear about delivery... dealer's quoting 6-8 weeks unless one can be found in their network. A bit more than I wanted to spend but after cleaing up from a tropical storm and tornado near-miss I decided I needed a grapple!
Not bad for a little guy!

That's 25' of maple, 16" at the far end, 14" near. Lifted no problem. Very tippy in motion so I cut it into 3 8+ footers.

Change the oil in the car, finally trying what all the magazines and internet people say... run one less quart of oil from the pan manufacturers recommend spec. It’s a 7 quart pan so I did 6. Wow what a difference! 11680A70-4146-4DB0-A757-068287989056.jpeg1E08DB0E-5798-42AC-8AFE-7213C16FD572.jpeg It revs so much better, feels like 40 more hp!
