When I had the surgery on my jaw, I tried CBD for the first time to help me sleep. Dentists and Oral Surgeons here won't prescribe Opiods anymore, so now they tell you
to go buy Ibuprofen and Tylenol (which wasn't cutting what I had going on). I don't care for the CBD "buzz" though, it made me tired more than anything. A neighbor
gave me a Fentanyl once when I had a severely pinched nerve - I couldn't even function on it. I had to just sit on the couch and watch TV.

Fentanyl has the same metabolized half-life as cocaine. Like one hour and half of it is gone. In other words, it can be purdy addictive. Tradol/Tramadol has a half life of 4-6 hours.
Tramadol, unlike most other pain killers, doesn't affect my stomach so much. But it can make me nauseous. I have done more than my fair share of barfing in the woods while logging or in forestry.

Opioids haven't caused the same stir in Europe in general as it has stateside. Likely because the pharmaceuticals haven't pushed them, and it is illegal for them to even contact doctors directly in most European countries, let alone give kick backs and direct sales like I saw stateside. Having said it, codein is OTC in many European states in small doses, including Ireland. But the pharmacist will interview you shortly before selling it, and it is at their discretion to do so. If you're a lil punk, you ain't getting it.

My doc won't prescribe anything stronger than Tramadol, he told me atfer I mentioned oxycodone just makes me pass out and I needed sumfin to get me thru the day. That is why he's given me a few different choices to try out and see how they worked. My wife mindlessly just picked up my prescript along with hers at the pharmacy, so I ended up having a bit of a surplus since the prescripts were good for 3 months on the trial stuff and 6 months on the Xymel 50's.

We use CBD on one of our anxious dogs, and it certainly calms her down. CBD is very expensive here, tho, as cannibis is not legal. So it has to be imported and is always in danger of becoming regulated, so that keeps the price high. I am not a fan of it as it does make me sleepy as well. I only use it if I need to sleep. With my pains, sleep has always been a problem. I'm not even really a big 420 fan since smoking causes real bad inflammation in my muscles, and I don't get much done on it. But it does help ya sleep.

I mostly just want the inflammation and the pain to stop enough so I can function. It is difficult to describe what it is like to have osteomalacia. If I wasn't so active in my life, and took so much milk(which I am still a fan of)I would have gone very rickety earlier in life. But now that I am not as active as I used to be, I am starting to really feel it, along with all the dings of being an older model in general.Years of running a saw may not have helped... Some days are better than others. But with huge vit D doses, I can usually avoid taking opiates most of the time. But if I got to do a fair bit of work, I can't make it through without them.

I try to stay active, though. It' the best thing for it along with taking massive vitD doses. It's just painful to do so. I mea, imagine your doc telling you one of the best things to treat your pains is to basically induce more pain? I play a bit of tennis, the only sport I can do any more, but after I get home, I got to take industrial strength anti-inflammatories, and if I over did it, Tramadol the next day. I see liver failure in my future...
