Ha!
My oldest had a brief, passing interest in archery.
She enjoys shooting rifles though.
My youngest wants nothing to do with either, but she still has to go through Dad's firearm instruction course every year. Even if she never picks one up of her own accord I want her to know how to and how they should be handled.
When I was young I shot archery a good bit and even won a couple contests, the competition these days is a lot different, I may have gotten a participation award lol.
We do the instruction course often too, I always have something around for critter relocation(the ones in the woods and the streets ;)), so they have to be aware. I agree fully they need to know, what would happen if something happened to me if I was carrying and they needed to clear one or protect others. Those are things none one should have to think about, but as they say .... happens.
Hows that big buck looking these days, still in velvet. Neighbor says he's got a nice 8 point on his cam out back.

Very wise. I commend you for that.

Well as anything that been hooked up for 10 plus years, the water heater never came out as easy as i hoped. Had a hard time getting it to drain. Must been some build up. Only idea i had was to pressureize it and force it out. Little low pressure and it was a flowin. Not fast but flowing.

Then of coure the fitting wouldnt come apart so heat the copper fittings and unhook that way. Couple new fittings and first time soldering pipes it was fixed. And to my surprise no leaks..... well yet.

Dropped a red oak that was pretty much dead standing last night, it had a few green leaves on I yet.
It had a big sweep in it and was one of three leads so it was leaning quite a bit. I cut off what was left of the lead behind it to test the wood as I had suspected it was compromised, and it looked very solid to my surprise. I did a very small face cut and then bored in from the low side because the other stem came out on the opposite side, I was almost thru so I started to move towards my face cut to set up the hinge after looking at the crown, then wham she slammed tight on my bar . Good thing is my truck wasn't far away so I went to grab another saw and was gonna remove the powerhead(scrench was on the trailer too), before I could walk back with the saw she blew out the root flare and was on the ground o_O. Then the thought came, my saw . The good thing is it rolled the "right" way and my saw shot to the high side and then came right out of it :b1:. The other good thing is that because I had the hinge aimed well and set, even though the holding wood was bad it still dropped between the goalpost I had setup to shot it through!
So it all worked out okay, but it was a clencher for a few.

Got my boys atv back togeather. The previous owner half assed it back togeather. Stripped out the clyinder stud. Had to get a helicoil kit to fix it.
Lot of bolts were only finger tight including the head bolts and nuts so we went ober the whole thing again to make sure all was good. Ther is one more stripped hole for the chain tentioner but not leaking so gonna leave it for now till i get that size of helicoils.
