Was getting ready to return my buddy's Scag and we noticed a lot of yellow jackets by my trailer....roasted yellow jacket larvae anyone? Got stung once and found out I'm not allergic! Nest was a little smaller than a basketball.

Played marine mechanic today. Old red lettered mercury fuel line is know to deteriorate even without ethanol fuel.

Yep. Its an Optimax and it has a cartridge filter after the diaphragm pump. Good thing too because it has two other electric fuel pumps after the filter. Put some tacky grease on a rod and pulled all the flakes out of the canister.

Another good afternoon fishing but my BIL in the other boat had some troubles. His boat started taking on water on the way in. Then he ran out of fuel and switched over and had a hard tine getting it started. I started towing him to stop it from sinking. He finally got it going again. It ran with the bildge on the whole way back in and when he pulled the boat out and took plug out a bet 50 gallons or more came out. Pretty lucky
